To celebrate the 9th anniversary of your survival in the zombie apocalypse, we present to you a new event. Put your bikes away — the age of ATVs has come. Pave your way through the impassable bogs, explore a massive new location, extract resources using drilling rigs, boost your Genesis reputation, and prove that in the last nine years, you've become a true master of the off-roads!
The holiday event is available to both those who already own an ATV and those who haven't assembled one yet. You can rent an ATV, which will allow you to participate in the event without any restrictions.

🧩 How the event works
Talk to the ATV driver at your home base to get to the Bogside Outskirts and head to the closest drilling rig to complete quests in your own or rented vehicle.
When you reach the location, you'll have to clear the area of zombies, repair the rig, and start the extraction. It's important to defend the territory from waves of enemies while the drilling rig is working. When the extraction is complete, you need to grab the crate with ore, place it in your trunk, and get back to the military camp.
Drilling rigs are divided into three levels of complexity: Alpha, Beta, and Gamma.

  • Alpha is the easiest: it's located next to the Genesis Storage, it has a few entry points (some of them you'll have to open or smash/rip open), and you can occasionally run into easy swamp zombies there.
  • Beta is the medium level: the rig is located on an island surrounded by water and bridges.
  • Gamma is the difficult version: it involves the Laboratory, a generator, and a crane with a container; to access the areas and loot, you'll need advanced tools; meanwhile, the enemies there are much deadlier.

Each drilling rig allows you to extract ore once, and after you do, you can restart it.
To unlock the gates for a shorter detour, you need to repair the console from either side of the gates.
Keep producing crates with ore, bringing them to the camp, increasing your Genesis reputation, and claiming rewards.

🔧 ATV's Features
ATV is the event's key element. It allows you to travel both across the global map and within the locations. It also provides damage resistance and unlocks access to hard-to-reach areas. Keep in mind that whenever you drive, you waste fuel, so keep track of that.
This vehicle can be used not only for travel but also for clearing the path. It can hit zombies and smash barricades, trees, and, if you have the Ram module installed, specially marked walls, which makes traversing the bog terrain easier.
The ATV has a few interaction zones. The cockpit (two areas on the sides in front) allows you to sit in the vehicle. Interaction points on the sides and in the back open up the general inventory with tabs. The main differentiating factor of the trunk (in the back) is that it's the only place you can put a crate that you carry in your arms.

Your character is protected against enemy attacks while they're inside the ATV.
The ATV itself can be damaged. Explosions, AoE attacks, and collisions do deal damage to it. We recommend that you use repair kits during your outings to keep it functional.

🔩 Upgrade Modules
The ATV can be modified with modules that improve its specs and expand its functionality. Each module has limited durability, and it wears out over time.
The Ram allows you to smash through special walls, reinforces the vehicle for zombie encounters, and reduces damage dealt to the ATV. Steel Tracks increase the maneuverability on the bogs; the Turret attacks enemies automatically, and the Launchable Winch can be used to rip crates open.

🎁 Event Rewards
The main event prizes will include: ATV parts, cats (learn more about them from this article), and the caiman farm (learn more from this article). Moreover, the kitchen now has a new feature that allows you to cook cat food. During the event, you can also acquire a broken ATV engine and disassemble it for parts.
You will also receive a poster for the game's 9th anniversary in your inbox.

❓ Do I have to have my own assembled ATV to foray to the Bogside Outskirts?
The good news is that even if you haven't assembled your ATV yet, the event will still be available to you. You can just rent one.
❓ Where can I find my ATV in a location?
Your ATV is always displayed on the mini map in the form of a special tracked vehicle icon. If you've moved too far away from it, just follow the arrow on the mini map.
❓ Can I hit zombies with my vehicle?
Yes, you can. And not just that: this type of vehicle smashes through barricades and trees, clearing the path for you.
❓ Can I die in the ATV?
While inside the ATV, your character is protected from attacks, and they don't receive damage.
❓ Can the ATV break?
Yes, and explosions, attacks, and collisions deal damage to it.
❓ How do I repair the ATV?
We recommend that you keep repair kits in your inventory during your trips and use the Repair Station in the hub next to the location entrance when necessary.
❓ How do I install an ATV module?
You must have the upgrade module in your inventory, then come up to the ATV's trunk, and place the module (say, the ram) in the corresponding slot over the fuel indicator.
❓ Why can't I go back to the Bogside Outskirts after the exit if I had a rented ATV?
After you return to your base, your access to the bogs may appear as locked without a vehicle. To go back, come up to the ATV driver at your home base — he will take you to the location.
❓ I don't understand where to go next / Where do I take the crate with ore I've extracted?
Go back to the military camp, since that's where you'll find all the main NPCs with tasks and the belt for the extracted ore.

Real adventures on the bogs have only just begun. Showcase your ATV's power by tearing through mud and hordes of enemies to the most impenetrable spots for exclusive holiday rewards!
